IHH begins distributing Bread to 14000 Families in Gaza

  IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation started a project involving distribution of free bread to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.   The Gazans are living in very hard conditions due to the blockade imposed by Israel. Therefore IHH has started a campaign to deliver free bread to the people for one month.   The Zakat office under Ministry of Waqf will carry out the delivery of bread to 14000 families in Gaza. The campaign will run for one month and cover all neighbourhoods in Gaza.   The bread packages will contain 50 pita breads special to Palestine. Each family will receive one to two packages daily. The packages prepared by IHH has already been distributed in the following Gazan neighbourhoods: Rafah, Khan Younus, Dar al-Belah, Centre, Jabwaliya, Beit Hanoun and Beyt Lahya.   Source...

Mercy-USA’s Medical Support Staff provide Hope and Care in Syria

The clinic sees an average of 750 newborns a month   Mercy-USA, with 20 years of experience in managing mother and child health clinics in some of the world’s most dangerous war-zones, is now operating most ambitious privately funded mother and child health clinic in Aleppo, Syria, where the need is critical.   Located in the Omar Ibn Abdel Aziz Hospital in the Al Ma’adi district of Aleppo, the health clinic is open and operating daily serving this district and surrounding districts. The staff of two physicians, two nurses, plus administrative personnel see an average of 600 women for free pre- and postnatal care and birthing services each month.   The clinic also sees an average of 750 newborns, infants and children each month for free pediatric care with special attention paid to the monitoring of their vaccination schedules and nutrition counseling. Islamic Relief: Distributing 63,300 Cans of Meat in Jordan

Relief this month is providing food supplies to nearly 2,650 families that are finding it harder than ever to meet their basic needs. Focussing on the most vulnerable families – such as female-headed households, families with orphaned children, as well as elderly and disabled people – we are offering the canned meat in Mafraq and Ramtha.   “Each household will receive 24 cans of meat,” said Ala’ Shanti, project manager for Islamic Relief Jordan.   “Canned meat has a much longer shelf-life than fresh meat, so we hope that these food supplies will supplement their diets for several weeks.”   Whilst the project mostly serves refugees fleeing deadly conflict in Syria, 30 per cent of beneficiaries are poor Jordanian families.   – See more at:...

German Syrian Association works for Displaced Syrian Children in Aleppo

Members of the German Syrian Association are pleased to be able to show the first pictures of Association’s children’s Centre in Aleppo. The association expresses thanks to generous donors. An old Arab House could be rebuilt and established child-friendly. A Video of this event has been posted on their official Facebook account. Recently, the children’s Center has recorded the operation. The children have the opportunity to be a child again and to be able to play there. In addition to painting, dancing and theatre play the children are cared psychologically. Also their families receive educational, psycho-social and therapeutic support. The Centre is at the same time learning and Cultural Centre for the children. A small library with children and youth literature has been set up already, as a cinema. The Centre helps children to handle their war experiences. It strengthens them, gives them hope and strength for the future. The organization has created a “place of hope” for the children. Islamic Relief USA:  Food and Medical Aid to 7000 in Yemen

    IR international offices are undertaking efforts to provide emergency relief, with special focus on food aid, to those affected by recent violence.   Some 7,000 individuals in the Amran governate stand to benefit from a food distribution project. The food packages, providing at least a month’s worth of sustenance, will include items such as flour, sugar, cooking oil, rice, red beans, milk powder, tea and cooking sauce.   Life-saving medical supplies will insha’Allah be distributed to three main hospitals in the Aden governate, helping some 4,000 people in need.   IR requests to support their mission in Yemen.
